Seller information, terms and privacy

These terms apply to PassK53, HiredSA, Rand Ready, PowerPlan SA, FurOff and Roadie (“the stores”, “we”). Last updated 15 October 2026.

1. Who we are (ECT Act section 43)

Full name and legal status: Pieter Bester, sole proprietor (no company registration number).
Location: Strand, Western Cape, South Africa. Address for service of legal documents: available on written request to support@techlinx.co.za.
Phone: +27 79 314 7655 · Email: support@techlinx.co.za
Website: this site. Not VAT-registered, so prices include no VAT. We are not a member of any self-regulatory body or code of conduct.

2. Products and prices

Prices are in South African rand and are shown on each product page. Digital products (PassK53, HiredSA, Rand Ready, PowerPlan SA) are delivered online straight after payment. Physical products (FurOff and Roadie) include free delivery anywhere in South Africa. They are shipped by our international fulfilment partner and usually arrive within 10–20 working days; we email a tracking number when your order ships. If an item becomes unavailable after you order, we refund you in full. Where a product shows “ordering opens soon”, it cannot yet be bought.

3. Payment and security

Payments are processed by our licensed payment providers, Yoco and PayFast (card, Instant EFT and other methods). We never see or store your card details. Both use encryption and 3-D Secure.

4. Delivery of digital products

After payment you're taken to a personal download or access page. Bookmark it: it is your permanent link. If it doesn't open, email us with your order number and we'll resend it within one working day.

5. 7-day money-back guarantee, cancellations and returns

Digital products: if you're not happy, email us within 7 days of buying and we'll refund you in full, with no reason needed. This is more generous than the law requires.
Physical products (when available): you may cancel within 7 days of receiving the goods without reason (ECT Act s44). Return the goods unused and in their packaging; you pay only the direct cost of returning them. Defective goods may be returned within 6 months for repair, replacement or a refund (Consumer Protection Act s56).
Refunds are paid to the original payment method within 30 days, usually much sooner. When a digital purchase is refunded, access to it ends.

How to ask for a refund: email support@techlinx.co.za from the email address you used at checkout, with your order number (it starts with Z and is shown on your order page). We confirm by email once the refund is processed. Lost your order link? Email us the same way and we will resend it.

6. Information products are not professional advice

PassK53 contains practice questions written from the National Road Traffic Act and the K53 method; they are not official test questions and passing is not guaranteed. Rand Ready is a bookkeeping tool and guide, not tax or accounting advice. PowerPlan SA gives estimates; have a qualified electrician install and certify any inverter, battery or solar system.

7. Complaints

Email support@techlinx.co.za. We reply within 2 working days. If we can't resolve it, you may contact the National Consumer Commission (thencc.gov.za) or the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (cgso.org.za).

8. Privacy (POPIA)

We collect your email address and order details to deliver your purchase and send your receipt (contract), and to keep tax records (legal obligation). If you join a waitlist and tick the box, we email you when the product is in stock and occasionally with offers (consent). You can unsubscribe at any time. PayFast processes payment details under its own privacy policy. Our site is hosted on Vercel, which may store data outside South Africa under protections substantially similar to POPIA. We don't use advertising trackers. You may ask to see, correct or delete your information, or object to its use, by emailing us. You may complain to the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za). Information Officer: Pieter Bester.

9. General

South African law applies. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act or the ECT Act.
